Peach Fire (LF, 2026)

Peach Fire conveys a new take on traditional tiger lilies. Large, vibrant peach blossoms soften to the palest towards the center where an explosion of large, deep purple spots radiate out onto the petals. The flowers face outwards allowing the faces to been seen easily. Strong healthy foliage in this wet year.

Coming in at 4 feet tall the blossoms are a stand-out in the garden and make a nice cut-flower complimenting both pinks and oranges in a bouquet.

Named on a hot summer day by my 9 year old niece who was drawn to this cool, clear peach blossom as we explored the select rows. “The spots look like fire coming from the center of the flower and onto the petals.” Amid a landscape of flowers it was a thrill to slow down and watch her pick a favourite and describe the details. Fresh eyes of a girl who goes from casually doing a few one-handed walk-overs on the lawn to absorption in “Wings of Fire” books brings a new dimension to this creative experience. I am so glad for this day.
