What does (LF, 2024) mean?
It stands for the year Lilyfield Farm introduces a new, original lily to the public. Lilyfield is primarily a hybridizing farm that creates new beautiful and hardy varieties for our Canadian gardens. It takes several years to go from pollination, seed, growing, observing, selecting, multiplying and then finally, if the lily makes the cut, introduction. When the name of the lily is registered, it is with the Royal Horticulture Society. It is a long creative process and a privilege to introduce these unique flowers into other gardens.
