Finally! ‘Give ’em Heaven has been planned for release since 2022 but it needed additional multiplying. Now there is enough, go forth!
This soft, clear pink above a white and lime throat caught my eye straight away. It faces up, making a great cut flower to bring indoors. The unusual fuzz covered buds, upper stem and pedicels give dimension long before the plant begins flowering.
The flowers will start as a baby pink and then fade to pale pink in the course of a few days. Look through the photos to see the shades of pink that show up.
Pair Give ’em Heaven with whites, creams and other pinks. Against green shrubs and grasses, Give ’em Heaven will shine.
The name comes from a spin on Give ’em Hell. Instead of receiving good luck for oneself, it is willing good for others. When others have it better than me I am glad for them. In competition, a person hopes that their competitors do their very best. A farmer driving by other fields asks that their neighbours needs be met, the rains come and grasshoppers stay away. It’s doing our very best, learning and working hard, yet living in a posture of willing the best for someone else along the way.
