(LF 2024) flowers, out-facing, height 1.3 m or 4.25 ft, mid-season, salmon-pink Asiatic lily

‘Bringer of Joy’ is a tall salmon-pink out-facing cheerful lily. The flowers and stems are sturdy and will stand up to our windy prairie conditions. It has been picked out to be selected for quite some time in the garden. Pink petals with lime green inner stripes are speckled with red spots that match the red pollen. The flowers start out a clear medium pink and fade to salmon coral. It stands tall enough that it will be above your regular 3 foot lilies.

Named for my niece who is quick with a joke, and up for trying something new. Wandering the flowers one evening, she was noticing the small details that I sometimes overlook. She picked 3 blossoms and came into the house to press them in giant books. “Cheryl, you will probably find these years later when you go to read.”
