Across the Desert is finally ready for introduction to more gardens. These unusual coral-pink flowers have been watched for several years. Great for making bouquets and standing out in a perennial bed.
Named for my grandma. On a July Sunday we sat in her darkened living room away from the afternoon heat, the light coming in on the summer breeze as the curtains floated. She said the glimpses of sun reminded her of a book passage that described flickering light across a desert. Captured by that sentence I drove home conscious of the living play of the late day sun across the durum fields, endless sky and waves of grass.
