Asiatic lilies are immediate epigeal germinating seeds, which means they like most seeds, plant and watch them grow. These seeds can be incredibly satisfying to grow because of their simplicity. If you plant new seeds every year, that wait for the first bloom doesn’t feel so long as you have new ones coming on board every year. Plant 15 seeds or 1000 seeds, they’ll produce unique flowers to themselves.

SOWING LILY SEED VIDEO TUTORIALS
Here are video tutorials I’ve made about planting lily seeds. As you can see they aren’t sown carefully, chuck them into the soil-less mix, cover, pat and water. The learning curve is watching during the germination process, keep them just moist enough to germinate and then allow good airflow once the little loops of the cotyledon start appearing. What better way to start and end your day with a peak at your germinating seedlings?
